PPMA Annual Seminar 8th - 9th May, 2014–The Queens, Leeds

Building on the success of the 2013 seminar in Bristol and the 2012 Seminar in Birmingham, the PPMA is shifting its’ focus to Leeds for the annual seminar in 2014.

Louise Tibbert, Vice President of the PPMA and Head of HR & OD at Hertfordshire County Council ‘welcomes the opportunity to hold the event in Leeds, a thriving commercial centre and the home of many significant public sector organisations like Leeds City Council, NHS Employers, NHS England and the DWP’. She added ‘it is also where I was born and I still have some strong ties with the city. It also has excellent transport links, great hotels and vibrant leisure and shopping opportunities! All in all it was an obvious choice for the PPMA and for me as the event organiser’.

Open to HR and OD practitioners across public services, the 2014 PPMA seminar is an excellent opportunity to get involved in high quality debate, develop professional networks and pick up some useful information for your own organisation.

The two day programme, based around PRIDE, COMMUNITY, FUTURE will be mix of key note presentations, case studies, and panel debates from across the public, and private sectors. Focusing heavily on major changes like the integration of health and social care, the programme will help you meet the many challenges ahead. Master classes, always popular, will focus on reward, talent, wellbeing, engagement and employment law.

During the Annual Seminar we are hosting a Raffle in aid of the Alzheimer's Society


The PPMA’s focus is to continue to provide a unique offer for our members and to keep strengthening relationships across the wider public sector. We also seek to influence central government about the key role that HR professionals and workforces can and will play in the future. The annual seminar, which is also open to non-members, provides an excellent opportunity to get involved in high quality debate with like minded professionals, build your networks and to pick up some useful tips and tools via themed master classes.

The PPMA welcomes members from HR and related professionals in public sector organisations and also those involved in providing related services to the public sector.
